Fitted Diapers

Fitted Diapers are the absorbent inner diaper that goes under a diaper cover. They generally close with snaps or a hook and loop system, though some fitted diapers (usually called contours) require a pin or Snappi for closure. All fitted diapers require a cover to make them waterproof.

Fitted diapers are made up of several layers of absorbent material, which is sometimes synthetic, or sometimes cotton, bamboo, hemp, or a blend of natural fibers. Some fitted diapers use luxuriously soft materials like velour and minkee, and fitteds are also available in all sorts of adorable prints. Fitted diapers generally take longer to dry than a prefold or flat diaper, but they require no folding techniques and are easier to learn to use.

A system of fitted diapers and covers is generally less expensive than an All-in-One or Pocket system.
